This afternoon as part of Safer Internet Day we listened to two of the Digiduck Stories from Childnet:
1. Digiduck's Big Decision;
2. Digiduck's Famous Friend;
Following on from these stories:
1. we looked at and discussed Digiduck's Internet rules and we explored the rules we all follow in our own houses. We identified a lot if similarities between Digiduck's rules and our rules.
2. We also explored all the things we have that can connect to the Internet, things such as mobile phones, televisions, nintendo switch, computers, Alexa to name a few.
3. We completed a worksheet My Life Online where we drew our 'profile picture' in the box and then filled in the blank tablet screen to show what our life online looks like, things we enjoy doing online, e.g You Tube, Disney, games, video call friends or family.
4. We explored the thoughts and feelings of some of the characters in the stories. We wrote down what we thought they might be thinking or saying in 'Thought Clouds' & 'Speech Bubbles'.
We learned three things from Digiduck today:
- Be a good friend online;
- Say Kind things to others;
- Make sensible choices;
