This was a sports day with a difference, but a bit of rain certainly didn't dampen our fantastic school spirits! After kicking off the morning with a highly successful carnival, we quickly amended our schedule to suit our space, moving many of our energetic activities inside. Students proudly divided into their county teams to tackle a brilliant variety of events, including gymnastics, dance, football skills and drills, team-building exercises, drama games, and music activities. There was something for everyone, from giant Connect Four and Jenga to classic favourites like the egg-and-spoon and relay races.
We treated ourselves to delicious ice cream and slush puppies saved from the morning carnival to cool down after all that hard work. We then gathered for a whole-school sports assembly to celebrate our amazing students, handing out the Stars of the Month for May alongside our special Sports Stars of the Week who truly stood out for their exceptional effort. Finally, we wrapped up an unforgettable day with an incredible whole-school sing-along, beautifully led by Mr. Mulderrig at the helm.
