Place Kicking Competition Best of luck to 6th class pupils Lucy Taaffe & Paddy Kelly who take part in the finals of the place kicking competition in Owenmore Gaels pictch, Collooney, Wednesday, 22nd October 2025.
Junior & Senior Infants were delighted to welcome our artist in residence, Andy Parsons, to our classroom. We shared all we knew about minibeasts prior to starting our art. Andy first introduced us to charcoal with which we began to sketch minibeasts. Following on from this Andy introduced us to painting along the outside of our sketch, initially, using coffee stirrers and finally we used our paint brushes. Andy introduced us to using earthy tones. We experimented with mixng 2 colours to make a 3rd. We had great fun painting and using the charcoal. Andy hung our pictures up to dry and we had loads of lovely words of encouragement from pupils & teachers alike. We are looking forward to seeing Andy next week and adding the next step to our art.
